Profile

Alberto Orioli has been a journalist for over 30 years. Deputy editor-in-chief and columnist of Il Sole 24 Ore, he covers the labour sector, real economy and political economy, and naturally checks the “galleys”.Like all journalists he has written books, the most popular being his conversation with the President Emeritus of the Republic of Italy, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, on 150 years of Italian Unification, entitled Non è il Paese che sognavo, published by Il Saggiatore in 2010.

After participating in 15,000 editorial meetings, he has been reflecting on the meaning of his profession for some years. In his free time, he practises it on various supports but in a different way – and maybe in another world.
